About John 

I am an American actor living in a small village just outside Amsterdam. I perform in musical theater, plays, cabaret, and film/tv/video. Earlier this year, I co-founded the Jewel Box Musical Theater. Our first production, “Starting Here, Starting Now” (an off-Broadway musical featuring songs by Maltby and Shire) will be touring The Netherlands and Germany in 2023.

Actor

• I call myself an Omnivore because I love working in a wide variety of styles, from classical to contemporary, comedy to drama. Improv, too!
• I trained in Meisner Acting Technique with Steven Ditmyer of Meisner International in Amsterdam from 2019-2021.
• In 2021, I played the role of Oliver in the film “Crossroads Life” which won several awards on the film festival circuit. (See my reel below).

Voice Over (Native English Speaker)

• I bring an authentic American accent to the table.
• I also have lots of regional American dialects and character voices in my toolbox.

Singer

• I’m an Omnivore here, too.
• I have many years of experience singing everything from Rodgers/Hammerstein to Lloyd Webber, Sondheim, Verdi, and Puccini.
• I  enjoy teaching voice students of all levels from beginners to professionals (both in my studio and on ZOOM).
